Privacy Policy
Last updated: 13/02/2026
Photowalkr is a personal project run by an individual (not a business). I care about your privacy and will only collect and use data needed to run the app.
What I collect
Account info: Email, name, username, and profile details you provide.
Content you create: Walks you create or join, comments you post, and photos you upload.
Basic usage data: Minimal logs needed to keep the app running and secure (for example, sign-in events and error logs).
How I use it
- To operate the app (accounts, walks, comments, photos).
- To show content you choose to share (walks, profile info, gallery uploads).
- To keep the service secure and troubleshoot problems.
What is public
Some information is visible to other users by design:
- Walks you create or join.
- Your username and profile photo (if provided).
- Comments and gallery uploads you post.
- Optional profile info you choose to show.
Who I share data with
I don’t sell your data. I only share it with the services that make the app work:
- Firebase (authentication, database, and file storage).
- Hosting providers (for the website/app).
Data retention
Your data stays while your account exists. If you delete your account, I’ll remove or anonymize your data where possible (subject to backups and technical limits).
Your choices
You can update your profile, control optional visibility settings, or request deletion.
